Choose the right hotel for your needs. 

Spending the night in a hotel can be a great option. We sometimes forget just how relaxing it can be to leave everything behind and enjoy the comfort of a hotel room. You can catch up on your reading, book yourself a beauty treatment, swim in the pool or simply sit out on the patio to enjoy the view while you sip tea, wine or whatever tickles your fancy.

Stop for a soak at the spa

Make the most of your spa day

Before slipping into your robe or sliding into the hot tubs, it’s worth taking a minute to review the procedure for the perfect thermal experience.

Hot

The first step is to eliminate toxins by inducing sweat. You can do this by spending 10 to 15 minutes in a hot tub, sauna or steam room. Let your muscle tension melt away, but step out of the heat if you experience any discomfort. It’s supposed to be enjoyable!

Cold

Ideally, you should submerge your whole body, even your head. This step helps release endorphins and stimulate circulation. Try to endure the cold for 10 seconds or until you feel goosebumps. Resist the urge to grab a towel afterward and let yourself air-dry instead.

Rest

Now it’s time to sit still and let your pulse return to normal. This step is very important and should not be overlooked. You want to spend 10 to 15 minutes in a comfortable and quiet spot.

To get the full benefit, you should complete this cycle three times. Of course, remember to drink plenty of water before, during and after your visit. Reach for cool lemon water to keep you hydrated, rather than coffee or alcohol.

Eat, drink and relax

Head to the Royal Bromont to discover the Cellier du roi by Jérôme Ferrer. The large dining room features a glass wall and, of course, exceptional cuisine. You’ll want to try their lobster cappuccino, scallops, parmesan calamari, beef shoulder and homemade gnocchi.
